Pre-ticket amendments: now relaunched
Over the last few weeks, we've been busily working away on some enhancements on our Flights system. We're happy to say that one of those is now ready for launch so we're handing over to Jayne, our Head of Tour Operator Partnerships, to tell you more...
Hello everyone! As you will likely be aware, our pre-ticket amendment functionality has been offline for a few weeks. During this time, we've been working on new developments to make it work more effectively with NDC processes and I'm thrilled to announce that we are relaunching the facility online in a staggered approach starting Monday 29 October 2018.
About pre-ticket amendments
It was important to us that you have access to the most useful tools we offer in order to make your job as easy and simple as possible. For this reason, we've decided to relaunch pre-ticket amendments now and continue our final tweaks in the background.
We're confident that you'll be able to make amendments as intended in 80% of scenarios, such as changing dates or routes. However, the scenarios we're continuing to work on - including where a mix of cabins are selected - will present an error message and you won't be able to proceed with your amendments. In these circumstances, you'll be prompted to call our dedicated Customer Support team who are happy to help with your requests.
We have also found that in some scenarios, the amended ticket will bring up a new deadline of 72 hours. This is because Amadeus is unable to find a deadline and so defaults to the shortest deadline available. This is another case where our Customer Support team can manually correct the ticket deadline for you - please contact us if you need assistance with this.
Please consider that ticketing within the deadline remains your responsibility and Lime cannot take responsibility for missed deadlines.
